When you die, you WILL see God face to face...
notesofapastor:
And God asks you: “Did you really do all these things while on earth?”
You won’t be able to lie, those days are gone.
All you’re going to be able to do, as you see Heaven in the distance, the beautiful brilliance, familiar faces, and the urge to want to be there right now is admit:
“Yes, I am guilty as charged, Lord.”
Your heart sinks. The sadness that overtakes you is...

fuck. i just heated up this cheeseburger. and it smells so good and it looks so good. but technically i’m catholic, and we’re not supposed to eat meat today for “ash wednesday.” but this fucking cheeseburger looks so good. i swear, once midnight hits i am devouring this.
Quick, easy solution! Don’t be a catholic.
Then noooooooooom.
That is all.
churchjanitor:
“My heart breaks to think of people who reject Christianity because of encounters with people who claim Christ as their savior, but live as if he’s dead.”
— Me
Pretty sure you’re not going to find many atheists that think this way. It’s usually only because there’s no fucking evidence.
Reblog if you track your own tag.

Where Is God?
itswhereweregoing:
A burning question that plagues many believers and non-believers alike is: “Where is God in times of trouble?”
Why is God silent when the nations are rising against each other? Why is God not moving to battle the injustices the world faces every day? Peter responds:
“They deliberately forget that God made the heavens by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out...

proof 2: platypi.
someone must have invented them, and that someone must have been incredibly high.

I thought about reconverting back to Christianity,
but then I realised I’d sooner wipe my ass with sandpaper.

“For God felt so shitty about the the horrible things that he allowed to happen he slew himself to himself, that whoever deludes themself in numb-minded faith shall not receive an eternal, disproportional punishment if they happen to have ate babies or slew children by the thousands, but will have the sexies for all eternity.”

subnatural asked: I grew up Mormon and realized that I'm an atheist at the age of 16, but I was in a bad car accident which left me in the hospital until about two months ago. Since waking up, my parents have noticed that I seem to have a better outlook on life. This must be true, because now I'm hoping that I'm wrong so I can have an eternal marriage with my future wife and we can have our future...

Cool excerpt, atheistwrath.
From my post: For xoecho: AtheistWrath’s Response Novel; Tl;dr
As a naturalist, I must say that the notion of the “supernatural” is absurd. If something exists, it ought to manifest in some form that is measurable and observable. The word nature is synonymous with existence. The word “supernatual” is just a cop-out- a term to try and stop debate by saying something can be above existence....

Pushing Beliefs: Atheists vs. Theists
revolutionaryatheist:
But what are atheists really pushing anyway? Are we telling people that if they don’t believe as we do they will be and should be tortured for all eternity? No, that’s what the religious do. We are simply telling people to think critically, learn about science and history, and embrace reality. If you don’t, you will be tortured for a lifetime of ignorance. That’s it.

Jesus came first.
There is no mention of Hell before Jesus claimed of its existence. Death for those who were not righteous for Heaven was a death with no afterlife- they went to sheol, which is actually translated as “grave”- not Hell, as some translations do to try and slip a little continuity into the pile of shit people call the bible.

Oh hai, Christian-type people.
Which came first- Hell or Jesus (include biblical reference)?

Want to preach it, then know your facts.
harbsheart:
Nothing makes me more angry than ignorant people. You want to talk about how being gay is a sin:
GOD LOVES EVERYONE!
I’m not gay, but I am for gay marriage and their rights. Why do we hate on people for being who they are. Love is love. I am trying not to rant here, but I just want people to realize that there is nothing wrong with it. And I wish people would quite trying to...

Stephen Fry is a sexy motherfucker.
If you haven’t seen the IQ2 debate from back in 2009 with Hitchens and Fry on whether the catholic church is a force for good, YOU ARE WRONG.
It’s quite interesting. Zing! (please tell me you get the joke)
lostinthought92 asked: Psychologically, turning from theism to atheism can be very distressing. This girl's "cries of oppression" that brought out the "inner bastard" in you or whatever, are signs that she's aware you've made a valid point and is in a state of subconscious cognitive dissonance. In this state, there's nothing left to do but react strongly to the undesired source,...
lostinthought92 asked: Oh yeah. You're free to criticize and reblog all you want. I'm criticizing your method of criticism and your seeming failure to picture an emotional being receiving the messages you send. For example, one of the blogs clearly was a girl centrally expressing her love of God and Jesus, and you wrote "WRONG" in all caps and bold and italic. I'm concerned that some may be...

lostinthought92 asked: Oh, so it's not you being the douchebag, it's the *internet*. Also, truth has always been historically something sought after, searched for, and attained through individual effort; I think it should stay that way. Truth doesn't need to be shoved in peaceful people's faces. They can discover it on their own. Just because someone's overweight, you don't go up to them...

lostinthought92 asked: I don't know you in person, but on the internet you can be a real dick. Which I suppose would be a compliment for you? Purposefully raiding blogs with a brute of a message isn't much different from Jehova's Witnesses knocking on doors. Except, from the perception of the people you are communicating with, you are giving them a message with no hope, meaning or purpose. And after you...

uwontbelieveveureyes asked: Then there’s our sin nature that can place us outside of God’s protective power without us even being aware of it until it’s too late. And sometimes our faith is so weak that even in asking for help we make it obvious we don’t believe we’ll get it. James called this being double minded and said we shouldn’t expect anything when we pray like that (James 1:6-8)....
uwontbelieveveureyes asked: There's our fallen creation which is currently under the control of the the Devil (1 John 5:19). Because of this we live in an evil and arbitrary world, where even the innocent are often attacked. But it’s worse than that. According to 1 Peter 5:8 the devil is always prowling around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
